Title page

Although everybody has one
I'm sure you'll all agree.
That this one's very special,
turn the page and you will see.

That today is Santa's birthday,
just how old we do not know.
But the candles on his birthday cake
will put on quite a show.

Mrs. Claus will bake his cake,
the kind that he likes best.
With candy canes and licorice twists
and chocolate on the rest

What will we all get Santa
on his very special day?
How much should it cost us
and how much should we pay?

They thought he might like golf clubs
or a shiny outdoor grill.
Or maybe a nice snow plant
to put on his window sill.

"We'll have to do some shopping"
said Ebeneezer elf.
" And we'll look down every aisle,
and we'll look up every shelf".

So they all went downtown riding
on a great big triple bus.
With so many windows and so many seats
there was room for all of us.

The elves drove to the biggest mall
while on their shopping trip.
They made sure they saw every store
and not one did they skip.
.

Then finally they found it,
it was something he could play.
To tell exactly what it was
is impossible to say.

Somehow they knew he'd like it
so they bought it on the spot.
And put it on the great big bus,
up on the very top.
s.

Santa was excited
to open up his gift.
It was 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide
and really hard to lift.

And when he opened up the box
imagine his surprise.
To see this giant whatever it was,
you should have seen his eyes.

It had buttons and switches
and handles he could turn.
And 3 pages of instructions
that were not that hard to learn.

It hopped and jumped and spun about
and lights were all around.
It had a horn on just one side
that made a funny sound.

Santa loved his present
and would love to play and play.
But it was time to party
and to celebrate this day.

They played special games
on old Santa's big day.
They played hoopit and skermit
and boom ba ta ray.

Another game they liked to play,
and played it every year.
They closed their eyes and spun about
and pinned antlers on reindeer.

With birthday hats and frazzle horns
it was a happy time.
With food and fun they even had
big gum drops they could climb.
.

Now everyone was tired
from this party that was thrown.
And with tummies full of candy
they were ready to go home.

So Santa thanked them one and all
and sent them on their way.
But I know he will remember
how he had this special day.
